Frequently asked questions
What size is an Indian passport photo?
35 × 45 mm (3.5 × 4.5 cm), in colour, with a plain light background and the face filling most of the photo. Many Indian forms and visas use the same size, but check the form's own notice.
How many passport photos fit on a 4 × 6 sheet?
Eight 35 × 45 mm photos, in two rows of four, with small gaps for cutting. US 2 × 2 in photos fit two to a 4 × 6 sheet.
How do I print the photos at the right size?
Print the PDF at “Actual size” or 100%, not “Fit to page”. At a photo shop, ask for a 4 × 6 print with no cropping or border. The JPG is saved at 300 DPI, so it prints at true size too.
Can I put photos of different people on one sheet?
Yes. Add several photos and the sheet is shared out evenly between them, or choose the number of copies of each.
